proposal
that encourages
more whole brain
thinking,
the reliance

interhemispheric
thinking,
which brings
together
dominant
left-
and
right-brained
thinkers, in a
closed, holistic
learning network.

The author of this

people along the
autism spectrum are
naturally more
right-brained,
while "neurotypical"
people, tend to, from a young age, become dominant
left-brained
thinkers, with the exception that both
character-types
access interhemispheric, and graduated, thought.

The 'Charting the Course' education proposal
shares a vision for a school system that will help all character-types, including people who are dominant left-brained thinkers, who think more linearly, and who are dominant right-brained thinkers, who think more by association, in part by bringing them together into one classroom.

The proposal is also for a single, closed, holistic system, which interweaves the modern education system with holistic, closed systems of the world.

The Future of Space Travel

NASA should, in coordination with all of the space agencies around the world, via the United Nations, launch and build a space colony on the moon that will, in order that it be developed, first search for in situ water, minerals, rock and earth that can be used to build on the moon. The colony would be optimally located in view of resource allocation. The colony ought to be built according to the principles of conservation and in light of budget expenses. The visionary space and earth architect, Nader Khalili, wrote extensively about how we can build environmentally friendly colonies or habitats in space.

The colony on the moon would be used for scientific research, including studying solar reflection off of rotating and static materials, curved and flat, that can be used as conduits of energy, that is energy research from space excluding the creation of beams of energy to earth, which have potentially negative effects; preparation for further space exploration missions to planets and moons of the solar system; other science projects aimed at expectant discoveries that may produce “spinoffs,” fruitive uses of science, for earth and space science.

For the coordinated effort, the UN should have a panel set up to review all science projects to be done at the colony, for their safety, purpose and direction. All projects entering space should be determined to be safe by this panel of experts, which would also coordinate the international projects being carried out at the colony.

As the international colony unfolds, in the spirit of cooperation and scientific progress, in space science more generally, a separate panel at the UN ought to be created for the registering and coordination of all other space exploration missions by countries now officially tied together by an international department at the UN. The panel should cover the work of both public and private agencies and companies, all of whom can work side-by-side in affiliation with the UN panel(s), and by way of the UN rules. Each operator would still have the room to act with an independent spirit, their ideas and goals being well outlined and integrated internationally.

In the wake of the formal integration, research and development or “discovery” missions to Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, and the intriguing moons of the solar system, for example, should continue unhindered, but be as conservation minded and nonpolluting as possible. Additionally, space telescopes can and should be placed on the moon and in other strategic spaces to search for earth-like planets and other useful discoveries.

Peaceful uses of space should be the only uses of space. Space weapons shouldn't be developed by any nation. Any monies intended for this should be redirected to purely scientific, not defense, purposes.

Defense in space should be considered, “the guarded continuation of a pristine and delicate stratosphere and the unaltered continuation of atmospheres rising from earth.”

Trash in space should be incinerated, creating as few pollutants as possible. A still separate panel at the UN would monitor all satellites and orbiting/stationary space technologies, and all satellites and technologies entering space would need to be registered with this UN panel.

The panels for space science and exploration, and registration of space technology, at the UN, should have clear and pronounced mission statements, in the spirit of peace and beneficial scientific exploration.

From earth, rocket propulsion should as a goal move toward becoming nontoxic. Science should be stepped up for asteroid deflection and protection against space storms. Extraterrestrial study should continue and may be conducted at the moon and beyond, too.

Important lessons, like the one from visionary architect, Paolo Soleri, that love is a requirement for any future colony, ought to be taken as strategic to the development effort. Studies by space scientists who've studied sociology/anthropology of space travelers/astronauts/colonizers, related to “togetherness,” in space, should be used to inform and enhance the work of the UN panels.

Finally, there should be preparations made, that is, as a world body we should be prepared, for future missions, or touch downs on earth, that may involve making contact with alien species.
